Title: Advanced Specialist, Sales – Higher Education

As an Advanced Specialist, Sales – Higher Education, you will play a critical role in accelerating Pearson’s Higher Education growth in Thailand. You’ll work closely with universities and senior institutional stakeholders to drive adoption of Pearson’s digital learning and assessment solutions, delivering meaningful educational outcomes alongside strong commercial results.

You’ll wake up excited to uncover institutional challenges, translate them into clear solution narratives, and close high‑impact deals that create long‑term partnerships. In your first six months, your impact will be visible through a strong net‑new pipeline, strategic deal progression, and increased adoption across key higher education accounts. What makes this role unique is the combination of strategic selling, ownership of complex deals, and the opportunity to influence how Pearson scales its Higher Education business in market.

The Role

This role exists to grow Pearson’s Higher Education business through consultative, insight‑led sales. You’ll own key accounts, develop new opportunities, and partner closely with internal teams to ensure institutions receive the right solutions and support throughout the sales lifecycle.

What You’ll Own

Success in this role is defined by outcomes and leadership:

  • Higher education revenue growth Achieve or exceed revenue targets by expanding adoption of Pearson’s Higher Education solutions across universities and institutions.
  • Strategic account leadership Build deep relationships with senior university stakeholders, including Teaching & Learning leaders, IT, Procurement, Finance, Libraries, and Academic Designers.
  • Pipeline creation & deal execution Generate net‑new pipeline through proactive outbound activity and insight‑driven engagement; lead and close large, complex, and multi‑year opportunities.
  • Consultative solution selling Run high‑quality discovery conversations, translate institutional needs into compelling solution narratives, and partner with Product teams to shape requirements and roadmap input.
  • Sales excellence & enablement Leverage data, tools, and AI to improve account research, prioritisation, call preparation, and follow‑through—sharing best practices to uplift the wider team.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration Work closely with operations and support teams to ensure smooth onboarding, implementation, forecasting, and ongoing customer success.
  • Market & performance management Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast in CRM systems, stay current on education market trends, and consistently meet or exceed KPIs.

You’ll act as a cultural leader—bringing accountability, creativity, and problem‑solving mindset to every interaction.

About You

You bring strong Higher Education sales experience, strategic thinking, and a growth mindset.

  • You bring a bachelor’s degree and 5–8 years of experience in higher education sales, account management, or a related customer‑facing role.
  • You’re confident engaging executive‑level stakeholders and leading high‑level commercial discussions.
  • You have a proven track record in solution selling, negotiation, and closing complex deals.
  • You think strategically and creatively, with strong commercial acumen.
  • You’re proactive, resilient, and comfortable spending significant time in field‑based sales activity.
  • You’re a strong communicator in English and an effective collaborator across teams.
  • You’re comfortable using CRM and analytics tools (e.g. Salesforce); data‑driven selling experience is a plus.
  • You’re passionate about higher education, learner success, and Pearson’s mission.

What You’ll Get

  • Ownership of strategic higher education accounts and complex deals.
  • Exposure to innovative digital learning and assessment solutions.
  • Collaboration with experienced regional and global teams.
