Job Description

The Global Project Engineering (GPE) team is seeking a highly skilled Product Owner (PO) to manage and advance our Integrated Collaborative Environment and suite of Innovative Project Engineering (ICE) tools. The successful candidate will drive the continuous evolution, engineering, and maintenance of specialized engineering applications, establishing seamless connectivity between discipline stakeholders, external customers, and cross-functional teams. A significant portion of this role (30-40%) will be dedicated to active validation and testing of product builds, combined with pioneering artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives across all modules to achieve maximum engineering productivity and execution excellence.

Core Capabilities

The Product Owner must possess deep functional or technical exposure across the following proprietary toolsets and operational areas:

  • Integrated Collaborative Environment & Engineering Architecture: Manage global engineering ecosystems, structured execution methods, tool-to-tool configurations, HSE systems, life-cycle tool-stack architecture, scalable environments, and collaboration across disciplines, locations, customers, and external engineering systems.
  • Control Systems, SCADA/HMI & I/O Engineering: Understand controller hardware and software families, firmware and release versions, interlocks, alarms, shutdowns, and advanced strategies into control logic; define SCADA/HMI architecture, tags, graphics, faceplates, historian interfaces, access controls, and complete I/O creation, scaling, diagnostics, cabinet, channel, module, network, marshalling, loop, and assignment data.

Key Responsibilities & Focus Areas

Stakeholder Connection & Collaboration

  • Act as the primary bridge between engineering discipline stakeholders, cross-functional R&D, product teams, and external customers.
  • Facilitate regular collaborative discovery sessions to convert customer workflows into production-ready requirements.
  • Manage expectations across multi-regional engineering squads, alignment of feature rollouts, and deployment schedules.

Validation, Testing & Quality Assurance (30% - 40% Bandwidth)

  • Allocate 30-40% of standard work bandwidth to hands-on testing, verification, and end-to-end product validation.

Productivity-Driven AI Initiatives

  • Architect and implement AI-centric features across all modules to supercharge engineering execution speeds.
  • Leverage smart analytics to drastically minimize manual validation overhead within the GPE workforce.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven 7+ years experience acting as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Technical Lead within industrial automation, EPC, or process engineering setups.
  • Strong technical appreciation of control systems, instrumentation (SPI), process and instrumentation diagrams, 3D plant design environments, and engineering database logic.
  • Demonstrated experience or structural knowledge in embedding AI/ML frameworks or automation.
