Leadership scope: This position includes people leadership and hands-on technical ownership, with accountability for team execution and service-level performance.

  • Oversee remote monitoring of Forge cloud applications, with a focus on system health, connectivity, and service performance.
  • Guide the triage and analysis of Forge-generated service cases, supporting efficient resolution with Field Service Leaders and Field Service Professionals.
  • Take ownership of complex or high-impact connectivity and performance issues, coordinating escalation and follow-through as needed.
  • Use Forge data to identify potential Spot opportunities and ensure clear, actionable recommendations are shared with field service teams.
  • Promote consistent incident-management practices, operational discipline, and effective knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Partner with cross-functional and back-end development teams to improve system reliability, monitoring quality, and customer outcomes.
  • Coach team members through technical problem-solving and support continuous capability development.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Controls Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on monitoring and troubleshooting cloud-based applications.
  • Working knowledge of a major cloud platform such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud, including cloud-monitoring tools and practices.
  • Experience collaborating with field service teams or comparable operational groups.
  • Experience using logging, alerting, and incident-management systems to support timely issue resolution.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems and Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) systems.

WE VALUE

  • Ability to identify energy waste or sub-optimal HVAC operation and recommend practical improvements.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for cloud environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a distributed team environment.
