We have an opportunity for an Advanced Project Engineer to join us at Honeywell, in Bucharest, where you will lead highly complex technical activities for TSI projects, from requirements analysis and technical solution validation through detailed engineering, configuration, integration, testing (FAT/SAT), commissioning, customer handover, and post-implementation support. The scope covers security systems (Access Control – ACS, CCTV, Intrusion Detection / Perimeter Intrusion Detection – IDS, POB – People on Board), telecommunication systems (PAGA – Public Address & General Alarm, telephone / hotline systems) and network infrastructure (security LAN, WAN, fiber optic networks and backbone cables, structured cabling).
This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office and 2 days work from home model.

Key responsibilities
- Advanced knowledge of the systems and products within the TSI scope: security systems (ACS, CCTV, IDS / perimeter intrusion detection, POB), telecommunication systems (PAGA, telephone / hotline), and network infrastructure (security LAN, WAN, fiber optic, structured cabling), and defining their correct application in complex projects.
- Analyze customer documentation, technical requirements, redundancy and availability requirements, system architectures, and risks specific to TSI projects.
- Define and validate network and system architectures (redundant topologies, fiber optic backbone, network segmentation, integration strategies) and the interfaces between telecommunications, security, and associated software platforms, including the common operator interface.
- Integrate TSI systems with the process and safety systems of the industrial facility (DCS, SCADA, ESD, Fire & Gas), including coordination of interfaces with other project packages and existing systems.
- Clarify technical solutions with customers, designers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams, with a focus on functionality, compliance, multidisciplinary integration, and practical implementation feasibility.
- Coordinate technical activities for detailed engineering, configuration, programming, integration, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover of the systems within the TSI scope.
- Identify and manage technical risks, design limitations, installation non-conformities (including cable and fiber optic), and critical dependencies between integrated systems.
Key skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electronics and Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology / Computer Science, Mechatronics and Robotics
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience working with security systems (access control, CCTV / DVM, intrusion detection), telecommunication systems (PAGA, telephone), and network infrastructure (LAN / WAN, fiber optic, structured cabling), as well as their integration.
- Experience in design, configuration, integration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of complex technical solutions, including redundant network infrastructures.
- Previous on-site experience, including coordination of commissioning activities, FAT/SAT execution, troubleshooting, and support for customer handover activities.
- Advanced understanding of networks and communication protocols, including IP networking (LAN/WAN), L2/L3 switching, VLANs, network redundancy mechanisms, fiber optic (single mode / multi-mode) and structured cabling, VoIP / SIP, serial communications, Modbus, dry contacts, relays, I/O modules, and software integration.
- Use of software tools related to engineering, configuration, monitoring, analysis, testing, and commissioning activities for systems within the TSI scope.
- Advanced English, any other languages are considered an advantage (German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch).
- Willingness to travel for project execution and commissioning activities minimum 50% of time.
