The Advanced Process Engineer is responsible for developing, validating, and implementing advanced manufacturing technologies, automation solutions, and process improvements to support new product introduction, prototype builds, and future production capabilities.
This role supports equipment development, manufacturing technology validation, automation integration, and process optimization within the POC Lab environment.

The TDC POC Lab focuses on evaluating emerging manufacturing technologies, developing advanced process capabilities, supporting new product introductions, and accelerating technology deployment into production environments. The Advanced Process Engineer works closely with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Production, and external suppliers to develop scalable manufacturing solutions and future production capabilities.
· Research and implement advanced manufacturing technologies, automation solutions, and process improvements.
· Develop and validate new manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies using structured engineering methodologies and DOE.
· Support the development of manufacturing, leaking testing processes , and prototype capabilities for liquid cooling and thermal management products
· Lead POC Lab automation equipment development, system integration, and technology deployment activities.
· Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and production readiness activities for new equipment and processes.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to define technical requirements and manufacturing solutions.
· Participate in the development and evaluation of new manufacturing concepts, tooling, and fixture solutions.
· Provide DFM and DFX recommendations to improve manufacturability and production scalability.
· Develop manufacturing knowledge to ensure laboratory activities align with production requirements.
· Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and processes to improve quality, productivity, reliability, and safety.
· Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation to support process and equipment development.
· Share technology knowledge, project learnings, and process development results with project teams.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
· 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process development, automation equipment, or equipment integration.
· Experience with equipment development, commissioning, validation, or continuous improvement projects.
· Working knowledge of DOE and structured problem-solving methodologies.
· Ability to define process requirements and develop practical engineering solutions.
· Ability to read and interpret product, assembly, tooling, and electrical drawings.
· Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
· Hands-on experience with automation equipment and manufacturing systems.
· Experience troubleshooting equipment and manufacturing processes.
· Strong analytical, communication, and project execution skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and common engineering software tools.
· Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
· Willingness to work hands-on in laboratory and manufacturing environments.
· Willingness to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
· Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
· Experience developing custom manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, or automation systems.
· Experience integrating sensors, actuators, machine vision systems, robotics, and manufacturing equipment.
· Experience with PLC, HMI, motion control, industrial controls, or automated manufacturing systems.
· Experience supporting FAT, SAT, equipment validation, process validation, or NPI activities.
· Experience in pilot-line, prototype, or low-volume manufacturing environments.
· Experience within electronics, connectors, precision assembly, thermal management, liquid cooling, or cold plate manufacturing.
· Experience working with equipment suppliers and global engineering teams.
· Master’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
· Ability to communicate effectively in English within a global organization.
