$71.36 - $96.33

Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT POSITION SUMMARY:

The Physician Assistant (PA), under the direction of the Medical Director and the onsite Supervising Physician provides and coordinates direct patient care and may act as a first assistant to the supervising surgeon. The PA provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative healthcare service, as delegated by a physician. The PA will report to the Nurse Manager/Director of the department for all employee/employer issues regarding departmental and organizational operations. The PA consistently demonstrates the core values of Enloe Medical Center and serves as a role model to other employees.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum

  • Graduate of a PA educational program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission (ARC) on Education for Physician Assistants (or its predecessor agencies) OR current certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

  • New graduates will be considered.

Desired

  • Recent surgery experience

  • Recent oncology experience

  • Bilingual in Spanish

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Current California Physician Assistant License

  • Current AHA-HCP CPR recognition

  • Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application

  • Credentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff Office and Finance Office

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Must have the confidence and experience to work independently with diverse patient populations and experience in accessing specialty referrals and community resources. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis. Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Behavior should be reflective of Enloe Health core values. Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.

NURSE PRACTITIONER POSITION SUMMARY:

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a Registered Nurse who possesses additional clinical and didactic education to function at an advanced level of nursing practice. They will be clinically competent in physical diagnosis, psychosocial assessment and management of health-illness needs to provide direct patient care and education to patients, families, students, and nursing staff. The NP consistently demonstrates the core values of Enloe Medical Center and serves as a role model to other employees.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum

  • Graduate of a Family Nurse Practitioner program

  • Recent experience appropriate to the clinical area where practice will occur.

Desired

  • Bilingual in Spanish desirable

  • One year experience in an oncology setting.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing

  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the California Board of Registered Nursing

  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner Furnisher with the California Board of Registered Nursing

  • Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application

  • Meets Centers for Medi-Cal and Medicaid Services (CMS) criteria to bill Medicare

  • Current CPR

  • Credentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff and Finance office
