Seeking a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner with RNFA for the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UH Cleveland Medical Center, Suburban outpatient surgery center in South Euclid and the Westlake outpatient surgery center. The APP will split time between clinic, inpatient and first assist in the OR. Prior surgery experience preferred but will consider new grads. The schedule is Day shift and rotating weekends (every 6 weeks) and holidays.

A Brief Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Education

• Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program (Required)
• (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)

Experience Qualifications

• 1+ years as a Physician Assistant (Preferred)
• 1+ years as a Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)

Skills, & Abilities

• Demonstrated leadership skills. (Required proficiency)
• Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships. (Required proficiency)
• Computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe. (Required proficiency)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook. (Required proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

Physician Assistant:

• Physician Assistant (PA) (Required) and
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
• Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (Required) and
• Practice with a supervising physician (Required Upon Hire) and
• Maintain national PA Certification (Required)

Nurse Practitioner:

• Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required) and
• Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Ohio (Required) and
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
• Current APRN License (Required)
