Responsibilities

Dartmouth Health’s Department of Radiology is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our Musculoskeletal (MSK) Radiology team in the beautiful Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively. This is a full-time day shift, salaried, benefited position with no call, no weekend or holiday responsibility.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, the system’s central clinical hub and Academic Medical Center, is located immediately adjacent to the bustling college town of Hanover, NH. Hanover is home to the world-renowned Dartmouth College and Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will:

  • Provide comprehensive care for patients undergoing musculoskeletal imaging and image-guided procedures, including pre- and post-procedure assessment, patient education, and follow-up care.
  • Work closely with Musculoskeletal Radiologists, referring providers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, perform history and physical examinations, order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests, and assist with treatment planning and care coordination.
  • Assist with and perform procedures within the APP scope of practice, which may include joint aspirations, injections, and other image-guided musculoskeletal procedures as appropriate.
  • Evaluate patients prior to procedures, obtain informed consent, review imaging and relevant clinical information, and ensure appropriate post-procedure monitoring and follow-up.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for patients and referring providers regarding musculoskeletal imaging studies, procedural expectations, and care plans.
  • Be involved in teaching and instructing medical students and residents within an academic medical center environment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, protocol development, and departmental efforts to enhance patient care and operational excellence.

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA academic program.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain PA or RN & APRN licensure in the State of New Hampshire.
  • Prior clinical experience in musculoskeletal medicine, orthopedics, sports medicine, rheumatology, radiology, or a related specialty preferred.
  • Experience with image-guided procedures, procedural care, or outpatient specialty practice preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate, educate, and manage patients undergoing diagnostic imaging and image-guided musculoskeletal procedures.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
