Dartmouth Health at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH is seeking a full-time, Advanced Practice Provider Hospitalist to join our Academic Section of Hospital Medicine within the Department of Medicine. Affiliated with The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, this position will involve delivering high-quality, team-based inpatient care and participating in innovative, inpatient resident and medical/APP student teaching. This position includes a recommendation of a faculty appointment at The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth at a rank of instructor.
Hospital Medicine Expectations:
The APP will be expected to contribute to the clinical activities of the Section of Hospital Medicine. Hospital Medicine encompasses the broad spectrum of patient care at an academic tertiary care institution as well as at our system member Critical Access Hospitals. While the following description of our clinical activities and services represents our best estimate of the APP’s anticipated work assignment under our current structure, they are subject to change as the Section intermittently finds it necessary to adjust the structure to improve care delivery and educational effectiveness.
1.0 FTE APPs are assigned to 140 shifts per year. The shifts are typically 12-hours in length and are predominantly daytime shifts. The shifts are split between the Academic Medical Center as well as at our contracted community hospitals. Weekend and holiday shifts shared among all APP Hospitalists.
