RHSC in St. Paul, MN is looking for exceptional, patient focused Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiology APP team and make a difference for our patients and our community.
The Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing both inpatient and outpatient services. In the inpatient setting, the APP works as a team with the attending cardiologist to perform and staff initial consults, subsequent follow up visits and to coordinate patient care. In the outpatient setting, the APP will see patients independently in the cardiology clinic. Outreach clinic may also be expected. Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 hr shifts or 10hr shifts for total of 40 hr per week. Occasional weekends.

Evaluate and treat patient in the cardiology clinic on a regular basis. Sees revisits independently and staffs new patients with the NIVL cardiologist.

Regularly manages in-basket, following up on the results of testing and procedures ordered for clinic patients.
Communicates with other healthcare professionals regarding mutual patients.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Cardiology APP has no formal leadership responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work environment includes the inpatient nursing units and the clinic setting. Stands 4-6 hours and walks 2-4 hours daily while performing duties. May view a computer screen for up to 3 hours a day. May lift, push or pull equipment up to 50 lbs. Must be able to transport self throughout the hospital. Must be able to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Office Environment May be exposed to printer/copier cartridges, no extreme conditions.
Inpatient Environment May be exposed to hazardous substances, harmful physical agents, and infectious agents that exist in the patient care area in the performance of duties.
