Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Interventional Radiology team in a unique, consult-focused role centered on vascular access. This position plays a critical role in ensuring safe, appropriate, and high-quality line placement.
This is not a procedural APP role—rather, it is a highly collaborative position focused on clinical decision-making, consult management, and patient follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
Review, triage, and validate all incoming vascular access (line/catheter) consults to ensure appropriate catheter selection and clinical indication
Serve as a clinical quality and safety checkpoint to prevent inappropriate or incorrect line placement
Communicate directly with ordering providers to clarify, educate, and adjust orders as needed
Act as the primary point of contact for vascular access-related questions across BIDMC and partner teams, including Dana-Farber
Provide post-procedure follow-up care, managing patient concerns such as pain, infection, or line-related issues via phone or clinic visits
About the Role:
Monday–Friday schedule, 8-hour day shifts (approximately 7:30/8:00 AM – 4:00/4:30 PM)
No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements
Fully onsite position
Qualifications:
Licensed Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of Massachusetts
Strong clinical background in vascular access and line management
Ability to function in a consultative, decision-support role
Ideal Candidate:
Deep knowledge of vascular access with a strong clinical judgment foundation
Consultative mindset with confidence navigating complex provider interactions
Excellent communication skills and professionalism, serving as a key representative (“face”) of Radiology

Pay Range:
$133,120.00 USD - $230,000.00 USD
The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
