Mission of Department: To support the hospital’s overall mission, vision and values, providing diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive health-care patient services within the scope of training and credentialing and under the supervision of a physician.
Purpose of Position: The APP provides age-appropriate medical care at the level of training achieved.

Additional Responsibilities:
Contractual obligations include taking 1st emergency call one in four days/evenings and one in four weekends.
Work Environment Considerations:
Works in an environment with biological, chemical and mechanical hazards. The employer will provide appropriate training, protective equipment and engineering controls for the protection and safety of the employee. As a condition of employment, the employee is required to abide by all risk management regulations including the proper use of protective devices and procedures.

Cardiac monitors, telemetry, thermometers, blood pressure and oxygen saturation machines, defibrillator, pacer, crash carts, phone, intercom, fax, computer, shredder, copy machine, whirlpool, stretcher, suction machine, hospital beds, nebulizer, crutches, splints, IV pumps, etc.
Expectation of Service: This is a non-exempt position which requires 40 hours per week for a full-time position. Regular and punctual attendance is required when scheduled.
