Job Description

GE Vernova is accelerating the future of nuclear energy through the design and construction of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs). We are seeking a Labor Alliance Manager to play a pivotal role in scaling our workforce to meet the rigorous demands of these high-stakes infrastructure projects.

You will act as the operational leader of our labor strategy, establishing functional partnerships with specialized vendors to ensure we have the highly skilled talent required to meet tight project timelines. You will bridge the gap between our engineering/construction teams and our labor vendors, ensuring that our onboarding and invoicing systems are as advanced and efficient as the technology we are deploying.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • SMR-Focused Vendor Strategy: Work with the indirect labor sourcing team to establish and manage strategic contracts with specialized labor vendors (engineering, craft, technical, and project management). Ensure all agreements satisfy both our internal project timelines and the complex compliance requirements inherent in the nuclear industry.

  • Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for our labor partners. You will cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with vendor leadership, ensuring they are deeply aligned with GE Vernova’s project objectives, performance expectations, and commitment to quality.

  • High-Volume Talent Scaling: Spearhead the recruitment lifecycle to support rapid project expansion. This includes posting technical roles, conducting rigorous resume down-selection, and ensuring a steady pipeline of qualified talent for SMR-specific engineering and construction roles.

  • Onboarding for Complex Environments: Partner with the indirect sourcing team to develop and implement standardized, streamlined onboarding processes for contractors, ensuring they are project-ready, safety-vetted, and integrated into our culture immediately upon arrival.

  • Invoicing & Financial Governance: Architect a robust invoicing and payment process that aligns with our business approval hierarchies. You will ensure that vendor billing is transparent, accurate, and optimized for high-volume project environments, minimizing administrative friction.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in vendor/contract management, ideally within the energy, nuclear, or large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) sectors.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Domestic and International travel up to 25%

  • The preferred work location for this role is at GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) Headquarters in Wilmington, NC but highly qualified U.S. remote eligible candidates will be considered.

Desired Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success in building scalable processes from the ground up to support rapid organizational growth.

  • Proven ability to negotiate agreements that satisfy complex customer contract requirements.
