The Advanced Manufacturing Technician is a key member of the Barber-Nichols manufacturing team assisting in the implementation, integration, and operation of advanced manufacturing capabilities such as electrical discharge machining (EDM) and electro chemical machining (ECM). This is a hands-on position operating advanced manufacturing equipment and will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to produce prototype and production parts for Barber-Nichol’s customers and internal development efforts.
Key Results Areas:
1. Operate ECM machines to meet development and production schedules.
2. Operate wire EDM machines to meet development and production schedules.
3. Develop and follow internal process documents and training manuals for electro chemical machining and electrical discharge machining to ensure long-term sustainability.
4. Provide effective communication and solutions to problems to be a continual resource for
both teammates and external customers.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly range for this role is $28.00 - $35.00 and is commensurate with the applicant’s experience. This position pays a 15% differential rate over base and any time over 40 hours is paid at time and a half when employee moves to night shift. This range represents the anticipated minimum and maximum base for this position. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the applicant’s qualifications (education, training and/or experience related to this role), and therefore, may fall outside the range shown, depending on the circumstances.
