Job Posting Title:

Advanced Manufacturing Materials Assistant (Hourly)The Advanced Manufacturing department is seeking an individual to supports daily manufacturing operations by performing routine materials handling, inventory tracking, and recordkeeping tasks. The position involves repetitive and structured work requiring accuracy, consistency, and close attention to detail to ensure materials are properly managed and available for production and distribution

of Duties and Tasks

  • Receive, sort, and organize incoming materials and supplies

  • Maintain accurate inventory and materials records

  • Assist with preparing materials for classes and perform routine evaluation of inventory and course needs.

  • Label and store materials in designated locations

  • Identify and report inventory discrepancies or shortages

  • Prepare and process shipping and receiving documentation

  • Maintain organized storage and work areas

  • Follow established safety, quality, and inventory procedures

  • Support materials management team with routine material requests and expectations

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records.

  • Comfortable performing routine and repetitive tasks consistently and accurately.

  • Basic computer skills including spreadsheets, email, and inventory systems.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to safely lift, move, and organize materials and equipment.

  • Understanding of workplace safety practices.

  • Demonstrated proficiency using standard office software applications and student information and database systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is routinely performed in a standard office or similar environment.

  • Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.

  • Occasional lifting of objects up to 30 pounds.

Safety

  • Work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior. Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.

Pay Rate

$23.00/hr

Up to 19 hrs per week.
