This position is responsible to lead the development, implementation, and optimization of advanced manufacturing processes, ensuring successful new product launches, operational efficiency, and adoption of innovative technologies, contributing to quality, cost, productivity, and business growth objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) Management
  • Lead and develop the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team
  • Ensure achievement of technical, business, and performance objectives
  • New Product Introduction
  • Coordinate product introduction from concept through production
  • Ensure line readiness (capacity, quality, training, etc.)
  • Process Development & Validation
  • Design, develop, and validate manufacturing processes
  • Ensure process robustness prior to launch
  • Automation & Technology
  • Implement automation solutions and new technologies
  • Evaluate and integrate advanced manufacturing equipment and systems
  • CAPEX Project Management
  • Plan and execute capital investment projects
  • Coordinate equipment purchasing and supplier relationships
  • Technical Documentation
  • Ensure complete and updated documentation (DFM, Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Work Instructions, Process Validations, etc.)
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, NPI, OPM, Procurement, and others
  • Continuous Improvement & Results
  • Drive process efficiency improvements, scrap reduction, productivity, and cost savings
  • Innovation initiatives
  • Promote Industry 4.0, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Accountability / Ownership - Full ownership of AME results

Tools you need to bring with you:

  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Process Engineering
  • Development, validation, and optimization of production processes
  • Layout design and line balancing
  • Knowledge of takt time, capacity, and throughput
  • End-to-end NPD lifecycle management from design to production
  • Ensuring line readiness (capacity, quality, training, etc.)
  • Coordination with design, quality, and operations teams
  • Implementation of automation solutions (fixtures, stations, lines)
  • Selection and validation of technologies (robotics, vision systems, torque control, others)
  • Integration of new equipment into existing processes
  • Project Management (CAPEX) - Planning, execution, and control of capital investment projects
  • Financial evaluation (ROI, Payback)
  • Supplier management and equipment procurement
  • Core Tools / Quality
  • PFMEA
  • Control Plans, work instructions, and process validation
  • Knowledge of quality metrics (Scrap, FPY, Cpk)
  • Transfers & Ramp-Up
  • Line transfers between plants or platforms
  • Production ramp-up management
  • Post-launch process stabilization
  • Cycle time reduction and waste elimination
  • Implementation of cost reduction initiatives
  • Systems integration (traceability, MES, etc.)
  • CAD / tooling and fixture design
  • Oracle / ERP systems (routing, BOM, process management)
  • Data analysis (intermediate Excel, analytical tools)
  • Integration of product design, manufacturing processes, and quality validation
  • Resolution of complex engineering problems
  • Ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary technical teams
  • Coaching and feedback to improve individual and team performance
  • Ability to prioritize projects based on business impact and available resources
  • Long-term vision in automation, NPI, and process scalability
  • Focus on results aligned with productivity, cost, and quality objectives
  • Ability to translate strategies into actionable plans
  • Effective Communication - ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Stakeholder management (Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, NPD, others)
  • Data-Driven Decision Making - use of metrics to support decision-making
  • Ability to assess technical and business risks
  • Change Management - adaptability to dynamic environments
  • Continuous improvement mindset
