About the Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing and launching efficient, high-quality assembly processes for new and existing programs. You’ll work hands-on with Engineering, Operations, Quality, PC&L, customers, and suppliers to bring new equipment, tooling, automation, and processes from concept through production.

This is an opportunity to solve challenging manufacturing problems, improve performance, and help shape the way Voltava builds and delivers products.

This role drives continuous improvement, applies lessons learned and best practices to new processes, supports APQP activities, and ensures manufacturing processes meet applicable engineering, quality, safety, and performance standards.

What You Need To Be Successful:

  • 3+ years of manufacturing and/or assembly experience, preferably in automotive.
  • 2+ years of APQP experience supporting program launches and process development.
  • Strong knowledge of assembly processes, tooling, equipment, automation, and manufacturing systems.
  • Experience with equipment installation, certification, run-off, and production launch.
  • Working knowledge of PFMEA, Reverse PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow, GD&T, and error-proofing.
  • Understanding of IATF quality requirements and safe manufacturing practices.
  • Experience with equipment sourcing, RFQs, and POs.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Automotive assembly experience with automation or robotics.
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • Experience sourcing tooling and equipment from RFQ through launch.
  • Experience improving OEE, throughput, quality, cost, scrap/rework, or material flow.
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience with engineering changes, operator training, or manufacturing standards.
  • Manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience applying lessons learned and best practices to new manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with error-proofing and developing robust manufacturing systems.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Travel:

  • Minimal travel required.
