Job Description

Outstanding opportunity for a motivated Advanced Health Practitioner to join our staff of dynamic, highly regarded ED practitioners employed by Longwood Specialty Physicians (LSP) at the UMass-Harrington HealthCare System.

Provide direct patient care including physical diagnosis and therapeutic management for patients in the Emergency Department working under the supervision of a licensed physician.

  • Over 40,000 combined annual ED visits
  • Direct patient management and physician support in main ED
  • Varied shifts; no night shifts

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant
  • Massachusetts state licensure
  • MA Board authorization to practice licensure
  • American Heart Association - Basic Life Support Certificate and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
  • Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred but not required
  • Valid prescriptive authority from both the MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA
  • Experience in an Emergency Department or Urgent Care Center
  • Competency in provision of care to patients of all ages

UMass-Harrington HealthCare System is a regional health system that provides health care to patients in south central Massachusetts and northeast Connecticut, with its main hospital campus in Southbridge, MA and satellite ED in Webster, MA. The Emergency Departments at Harrington HealthCare are staffed and managed by LSP.

Pay Range:

$90,000 - $150,000

The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
