Job Title:

Advanced Field Marketing Engineer-IndustrialWork closely together with sales and marketing partners, customers to provide technical supports, new application development, custom compound development, customer trouble shooting, lab assessment and technical data package preparation, directed at Industrial segment for both Specialty Elastomer and Construction Sealant.

Responsibilities Include:

1. Support Marketing, Sales, and Technology

• Work closely with marketing, sales, technology and other supporting functions to identify new business opportunities to drive growth for Industrial business. ( new emerging market, such as Auto, EV and new energy, roof coating industry, etc)
• Closely collaborate with commercial team to develop new customers, support new product introduction, qualification process and to close opportunities for incremental growth
• Develop relations with other suppliers to be aware of new raw materials coming to the market to be able to develop modern and trendy formulations, also to have access for the raw materials samples from other suppliers
• Frequent communication with ADEs in other regions and maintain a cross-pole network with other sites, as well as R&D team for silicone elastomer knowledge and troubleshooting skills

2. NPIs/NPCs work

• Good understanding of market and customer trends/unmet needs, able to explore new application opportunities, translate new product development opportunities to trigger NPIC/NPI development
• Work closely with R&D to support new product development through NPI process
• Independently develop customized and/or regional specified NPIs by utilizing MAPIs platform and local capacity/capability

3. Pro-active marketing activities

• Coordinate and lead seminars and be an active participant of exhibitions/seminars/other events

Good understanding of Market trends and the ability to use this knowledge

4. Customers/Distributors support

• Provide silicone elastomer and construction sealant training/promotion literature and tools to customers, distributors and agents.
• Support customers to investigate root causes of any fabricate processing issues or quality issues
• Support façade project review including Specification Review, drawing review/calculation, onsite quality check, Project Warranty:

5. Laboratory work

• Conduct all necessary laboratory work in a safe manner. Maintain and promote a safe work environment
• Develop the application technical data package to support the NPI product market launch, delivering the required application data according to customer specifications

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline
  Experience with polymer materials (e.g., plastics, rubber, coatings, sealants) is preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical-related roles such as Technical Engineering, Technical Sales, or Product Development, with direct customer interaction
• Willing and able to travel frequently (approximately 40%)
• Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills
• Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset
• Diligent, agile, and responsive, with the ability to quickly address customer requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience in one or more of the following industries: Automotive, Electric Vehicles (EV), New Energy, Coatings, or Construction, with a strong preference for candidates from downstream market applications
• Basic understanding of product formulation and manufacturing/production processes is considered a strong advantage
• Demonstrated experience in working on cross-regional projects, with the ability to work across multicultural teams and stakeholders
• Prior experience working in a multinational (MNC) environment is highly desirable
• Fluent English communication skills (verbal, written, reading, and listening) are required
