Job Description

As an OSHC Educator, you will support the delivery of safe, engaging and inclusive before and after school care programs for primary school‑aged children. Working as part of a supportive, purpose‑driven team, you will create positive learning experiences outside the classroom while ensuring children’s wellbeing, safety and development. This permanent part‑time role offers flexible hours, strong professional development opportunities and the chance to build a rewarding career in children’s services.

We are seeking a Permanent Part‑Time Educator to support children at our Out‑of‑School Hours Care (OSHC) service in Campbelltown.

Required Availability

You must be able to commit to the following hours to be considered:

Before School Care

  • Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 9:00am

After School Care

  • Monday to Friday: 2:00pm – 6:00pm

About the Role

Our Out‑of‑School‑Hours Care Educators are the friendly faces and sharp minds inspiring the next generation of young people. Acting as both educators and role models, you will deliver engaging, exciting and interactive programs through our Before School, After School and Vacation Care services across more than 50 NSW schools.

As part of the OSHC team, you will be responsible for the safety, wellbeing and development of primary school‑aged children, while supporting OSHC Coordinators to maintain high‑quality services. You will work closely with children and their families, sharing your passion, guidance and creativity to help children learn and grow.

About Your New Role

  • Provide fun, engaging and age‑appropriate activities for primary school‑aged children
  • Assist in designing a calendar of inclusive, exciting and engaging programs
  • Support and mentor junior educators using your experience and expertise
  • Work collaboratively with OSHC Coordinators across NSW as part of a wider educator network

About You

To Be Successful, You Will Have

  • A Diploma or equivalent qualification in Childcare
  • Experience supervising and engaging with children
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices
  • Availability to work Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care
  • HLTAID012 – Provide an emergency response in an education and care setting, including CPR
  • A valid Working with Children Check
  • A Police Check (paid for by the Y)

Our Children's Services Team supports young people across 50 schools in NSW, delivering quality before school, after school and school holiday programs. Activities include sport, creative arts, cooking and more, all designed to support children's development in a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
