Job Description

Department: Veeva Platform Management & Safety Solutions, Global Business Services (GBS), Enterprise IT & Quality

Location: Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore, India

Your impact begins here

As Advanced Business Analyst 1, you will be the day-to-day analytical, technical and process partner to the System Manager for Veeva Safety. You will turn business requirements into technical Veeva designs, keep changes, releases and validation compliant and on time, and resolve data transmission issues with interfacing systems. Your work keeps a GxP-critical safety system reliable and improving, so safety and pharmacovigilance colleagues worldwide can depend on it every day.

What you’ll bring

You combine strong techno-functional knowledge of Veeva Safety with hands-on experience of keeping GxP-critical systems compliant and running well. You will also bring:

  • An MCA, MTech, BCA or similar graduate degree in a relevant field, or other relevant business experience.
  • 6+ years in IT, including at least 4 years in GxP system operations applying ITIL principles.
  • Strong techno-functional knowledge of Veeva Safety and a sound understanding of the safety or pharmacovigilance domain.
  • Experience maintaining GxP-critical systems in an operational environment with a strong compliance focus, including supporting and presenting during audits and inspections.
  • Release management experience, from planning and execution to benefit realisation.
  • Vendor management experience in an international matrix organisation, coordinating with external partners and stakeholders across geographies and time zones.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, and the confidence to communicate with vendors, consultants and, potentially, customers and authorities.
  • A structured, business-oriented, outgoing and flexible way of working, with full ownership of your tasks and a natural team spirit.

Useful, but not essential:

  • Broader knowledge of the Veeva platform and/or related systems.

What you’ll do

You will support the Veeva Safety team across system, change and release management, validation and compliance. This is an individual contributor role: you will work independently within defined guidelines, with guidance on the most complex assignments. You will:

  • Lead engagements between business users and IT development teams, gathering and analysing complex requirements, defining scope and objectives, and translating needs into technical Veeva Safety designs.
  • Recommend improvements to business processes and the system, and document how application components relate to each other.
  • Deliver system and support services with the System Manager, including system releases and the Validation Responsible role for change requests, in line with change management procedures.
  • Coordinate and resolve data transmission issues between Veeva Safety and its interfacing systems.
  • Handle audit findings and corrective and preventive actions on time, contribute to annual periodic reviews, and support the system during internal and external audits and inspections.
  • Create and review system documentation according to SOPs, applying lean and agile ways of working to keep processes simple and efficient.

Who you’ll work with

You will join the Veeva Platform Management & Safety Solutions team in Global Business Services, part of Enterprise IT & Quality, where colleagues work across the Novo value chain, staying close to stakeholders and helping deliver trusted technology, high quality and responsible ways of working.

Your closest partner will be the System Manager for Veeva Safety. You will also work with the System Owner, Project Owners, your Department Manager, IT and business subject matter experts, IT QA/QC and business QA colleagues, the system vendor and project team members in Denmark.

Together, you will solve issues, discuss change requests and plan upgrades. You will work with IT QA/QC on leaner processes and documentation, and stay close to the vendor on evolving technology. Planning and prioritising across units keeps the work moving when demand shifts.

What you can expect here

You will take real ownership of a GxP-critical system, trusted to manage your own planning and deliverables. You will be encouraged to speak up, identify better practices and share them across units, and bring new ideas from the wider technology landscape into how the system develops.

Working with business, quality and vendor colleagues across geographies, you will deepen your Veeva expertise and your understanding of the safety business, holding high standards for quality and compliance while finding simpler, faster ways to work.

Start now

Your impact begins today. If you are ready to keep Veeva Safety compliant, reliable and improving for colleagues around the world, apply for the Advanced Business Analyst 1 role by 27 October 2026.

Location: Bangalore

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days)
