Responsibilities within BIM Design.

Working within the BIM Design team under the FD PM Building Installations area, you play a pivotal role in supporting Facility Design. This involves creating detailed 3D models and 2D designs that encompass architecture, structure, HVAC and building utilities, as well as building and process electrical systems.

How you might spend your days (Main Roles & Responsibilities)
As Advance BIM Engineer, you’ll be working with an innovative, multi-disciplinary team where you’ll be:
• Responsible for Operational & Administrative deliverable where output is complex.
• Responsible for performing independently.
• Expected to support more senior staff in parts of larger process or project on project deliverable.
• Expected to adapt procedures, processes, tools equipment or techniques to accomplish the correct output of specific assigned tasks.
• Expected to take initiative, prioritize, and plan the work to reach deadlines.
• Demonstrate Subject matter knowledge

The miles you’ve walked (Education and Work Experience)

You have a background in engineering, Mechanical, or a related field
• You need to have a minimum of 8 years of experience handling modelling role
• Have a good understanding of CDE and BEP
• Have a good hands-on experience of working in work-sharing environment with tools like Revit, Navisworks & Dalux
• Ensure disciplinary consistency, quality, and compliance
• Experience of handling GFC & As-built tasks
• Responsible for preparation of HVAC Zoning Drawings as per markup shared by the engineer in charge.
• Preparation of P&ID’s / Airflow Diagrams for HVAC and Building Utility in Plant 3D / AutoCAD, needs to have a good level of understanding of HVAC system and Building Utility.
• Design, Planning & modelling of Reflected ceiling plan considering the proper Air flow distribution and Aesthetics.
• Design (Duct Sizing) & modelling of Duct routing as per the layout considering space co-ordination.
• Knowledge of SMACNA & EN 15727, 15882 etc (will be an added advantages)
• HVAC Equipment placement planning and modelling using Revit (BIM 360).
• Sizing & Modelling of Chilled & Hot water piping system.
