Job Title:

Advanced Application Development Engineer – Polymer & Electronics additiveAs a part of the Commercial team of Specialty Additives which is serving all additive solutions like silicone resin, fluid, silane etc., the person in this position will interface with the customer to lay the groundwork for the development of new products and business growth by providing technical support and new application development in Electronics application areas.

Responsibilities Include:

• Identify and implement capabilities required to provide application development
• Maintain existing and establish new customer relationships with emphasis on key accounts by: - Developing advanced process technologies for new application or unmet needs conducting appropriate lab work to support customers’ technical needs - Translating technology/growth opportunities to new geographies / customers - Leading visits to customer sites both independently and in coordination with the sales organization -Educating customers by delivering scientifically-based presentations
• Technical support to maintain business growth in post launch of products
• Lab formulation work to support new product development
• Identify and communicate product improvement opportunities and potential new products
• Support commercial teams in converting new applications to sales
• Develop intellectual property for targeted applications
• Build in-depth knowledge of product application and process of the Specialty Silicone additives for Electronics applications
• Provide and maintain technical data info to support business projects and support new product developments
  (e.g. datasheet development, specifications, presentations)
• Handle technical inquiries from customers and support troubleshooting when necessary
• Evaluate technical claims
• Train customers, sales, new employees, distributors, agents, etc.
• Perform trials and provide process support at customer sites
• Develop literature: troubleshooting guides, process guidelines, patents, document translations, etc.

• 製品上市後の事業成長維持のための技術サポートし、新製品開発を支援するラボの配合設計業務を行う。
• 製品改良の機会および潜在的な新製品の可能性を特定し、共有する。
• 営業社員が新しいアプリケーションをビジネスに展開できるよう支援する。
• ターゲットアプリケーションの知的財産を創出する。
• 電子材料用途におけるスペシャルティシリコーン添加剤の製品の応用およびプロセスに関する専門知識を構築する。
• ビジネスプロジェクトや新製品開発を支援するための技術データ情報を提供・維持する (例:データシート、仕様書、プレゼンテーション) 。
• 顧客からの技術的な問い合わせに対応し、必要に応じてサポートのトラブルシューティングを行う。
• 技術的主張の妥当性評価を行う
• 顧客、営業、新規社員、代理店などへのトレーニングを行う。
• 顧客先での試験およびプロセスのサポートを実施する。
• 文献の作成:トラブルシューティングガイド、プロセスガイドライン、特許、書類の翻訳など。

化学メーカーのアプリケーションデヴェロップメントエンジニア（ADE）として、顧客課題に直結した材料開発と技術提案を通じて、製品の価値創出とビジネス成長に貢献できます。顧客や営業、R&D、グローバル拠点と連携しながら、市場ニーズを反映した技術ソリューションを提供するための専門的な材料知識はもちろん、コミュニケーション力や知見を活かせます。裁量の大きい環境でプロジェクトをリードし、成果が直接評価される点が特徴であり、技術とビジネスの両面でキャリアを発展させることができます。

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

必須

• Master’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent studies (10+ business experience after earning degree)
• 2~5 years of experience in an electronics-related chemical company (especially, semiconductor packaging materials e.g. copper clad laminate, Power Magnetic Coreapplications etc.) in a product development role and technical customer support
• Experience in developing and implementing technical and process solutions at the customer.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously and work in a cross-functional team environment with strong customer focus
• Must have laboratory work experience
• Communicable in Japanese & English

• 化学、化学工学または同等の学問修士号(学位取得後に10年以上の職務経験)
• 電子材料関連の化学会社(特に半導体実装材料、例：銅張積層板、圧粉磁心コア材料封止材など)で2~5年以上の製品開発および技術的な顧客サポートの経験
• 顧客向けに技術およびプロセスソリューションの開発を実行した経験
• 複数のプロジェクトの優先順位付けと同時推進が可能で、強い顧客視点を持ち、クロスファンクショナルな環境で働く能力があること
• 実験室での実務経験
• 日本語と英語でコミュニケーション可能
