Job Description

Are you passionate about driving high-impact projects in a global supply chain? Do you want to play a key role in delivering transformational initiatives that shape how Ambu scales, operates, and delivers value to patients worldwide?

Ambu is transforming – and this is your opportunity to shape how intelligence drives our supply chain.

We have recently evolved our analytics function into a Supply Chain Intelligence team within our Global Supply Chain organization, and we are seeking an Advanced Analytics Specialist to join us. The team’s ambition is clear: moving from describing what happened to knowing what to do next. You will play a central role in delivering this journey; building predictive and prescriptive models, enabling what-if scenarios and decision support, and strengthening the data foundation that underpins it all; while helping build a data-driven culture across the global supply chain.

At Ambu, we are on an ambitious growth journey - scaling our operations and capabilities to meet the rising global demand for our innovative medical solutions. As part of this journey, you will join a highly motivated team that values initiative, impact, and collaboration; and you will have a front-row seat in maturing how data and intelligence power our global supply chain.

The role

As an Advanced Analytics Specialist, your primary responsibility is to design, build, and deploy analytics solutions that move our global supply chain from descriptive dashboards to predictive and prescriptive intelligence. You will work across our five focus areas: data foundation, reporting & visibility, advanced analytics, decision support, and analytics enablement; with the greatest emphasis on advanced analytics and decision support.

This is a hands-on role where technical depth meets business-centric problem-solving. Working closely with the Advanced Analytics Manager, GSC, you will partner with stakeholders across corporate functions and manufacturing sites – bridging business and IT – to ensure that data becomes a strategic asset embedded in how Ambu’s supply chain makes decisions.

Key responsibilities

Advanced analytics & decision support (primary focus)

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain predictive and prescriptive models (e.g., forecasting, anomaly detection, optimization) that address concrete supply chain challenges across planning, operations, and distribution
  • Build what-if scenario and simulation capabilities that give leadership actionable decision support; not just reporting
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical problems, and analytical results into clear recommendations for stakeholders and leadership
  • Automate recurring analyses and workflows to free capacity across the organization for higher-value work
  • Take ownership of solutions end-to-end: from problem framing and data preparation to model deployment in collaboration with back-end IT, monitoring, and adoption

Data foundation, visibility & analytics enablement

  • Contribute to advancing our data foundation toward a single source of truth; improving data quality, governance, and data models in collaboration with IT
  • Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and standard GSC reporting where they create genuine visibility and value
  • Support upskilling across the global supply chain through training, documentation, and self-service enablement; helping embed a data-driven culture
  • Stay curious about new technologies (AI, machine learning, modern analytics tooling) and proactively bring relevant opportunities into the team

Suggested candidate profile

Skills and experience can be gained in many ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be described on paper. You are, however, likely to succeed in this position if you have:

  • 2–5 years of experience in analytics, data science, or business intelligence roles. You may have gained your experience in a consultancy, an industrial company, or a data-driven scale-up
  • Strong hands-on skills in SQL and Python (or R) for data preparation, analysis, and modelling
  • Solid experience with Power BI – including DAX and data modelling – and an eye for visualizations that drive decisions
  • Experience building predictive models (e.g., forecasting or machine learning) and bringing at least one into real operational use; you know the difference between a notebook and a solution people rely on
  • Strong business translation skills; you can turn a vague business question into an analytical approach, and an analytical result into a clear recommendation
  • A working understanding of supply chain processes (e.g., planning, manufacturing, logistics, or distribution); you don't need to be a supply chain expert, but you can speak the language of operations and understand the physical flows behind the data
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills; you build trust quickly and collaborate effectively across functions and levels
  • A proactive, structured and independent way of working: you thrive in a maturing environment where you help build the way, not just follow it

It is an advantage if you have experience with the following:

  • Deeper experience within supply chain planning, S&OP, or distribution analytics
  • ERP data (e.g., Infor), cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, Fabric), or optimization and simulation techniques
  • Experience in integrating new data (e.g., through API/EDI) into database and semantic models
  • Experience in training or upskilling non-technical colleagues
  • Exposure to a GxP-regulated industry

Please note that due to the upcoming summer holiday period, the recruitment process may take slightly longer than usual. We expect to begin the interview process at the beginning of August.
