Job Description

40 Hours per week

Day Shift

Provides clinical management of patients in collaboration with a psychiatrist. The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is responsible for practicing medicine to include conducting examinations and writing prescriptions. Within physician –APRN collaborative agreement, the APRN exercises autonomy in medical decision-making and provides a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services with no supervision requirement.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required:

  1. Master of Science in Nursing from as accredited nurse practitioner training program.
  2. Current DEA license required when eligible
  3. Active RN license in Kentucky or compact state
  4. Current unrestricted license to practice as an APRN in the Commonwealth of Kentucky
  5. Certification by the American Nurse Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
  1. BLS Certification
  1. Board certification required
  2. Eligible at all times to be insured for professional liability
