Job Description

Ballhorn Chapels and Zimmer Westview Funeral Homes are seeking a relationship-driven Advance Funeral Planner to serve families in the Sheboygan and surrounding communities. This role blends education, service, and sales to help individuals thoughtfully plan and fund their final arrangements in advance.

The right candidate brings empathy, professionalism, and a strong ability to build trust while guiding families through meaningful conversations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with individuals and families to educate them on advance funeral planning options
  • Guide families through prearrangement and funding decisions with care and professionalism
  • Build relationships within the community through events, seminars, and outreach
  • Generate leads through networking, referrals, and marketing initiatives
  • Maintain consistent follow-up and communication with prospective families
  • Achieve individual performance and sales goals
  • Accurately complete all required documentation and compliance requirements

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or relationship-based roles
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build trust in sensitive and emotional situations
  • Self-motivated with a goal-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable working both independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to obtain a Life Insurance License within 30 days of hire
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
