Liquid Personnel are proud to be working with Richmond and Wandsworth Councils to recruit a skilled and passionate Substance Misuse Social Worker to join their dedicated Substance Misuse Team.

As the Substance Misuse Social Worker, you will:

  • Work with adults whose primary social care needs are impacted by substance use
  • Provide a duty/front door service offering advice, signposting, screening, and risk assessments
  • Complete Care Act assessments and develop strength-based support plans
  • Undertake initial care reviews and manage complex cases
  • Fulfil statutory safeguarding duties, including Section 42 enquiries
  • Collaborate with health professionals, housing services, voluntary sector, and other key partners

Essential requirements of this Substance Misuse Social Worker role:

  • Registration as a Social Worker with Social Work England
  • Experience working with adults in a statutory setting
  • A passion for supporting individuals with substance misuse issues
  • Previous experience in substance misuse is desirable but not essential
