Job Title: Adults Occupational Therapist
Location: Bath and North East Somerset
Rate: Up to £35 per hour
An exciting opportunity for an occupational therapist to undertake occupational therapy assessments for people in the community who have long-term and complex physical disabilities has become available.
What will your responsibilities be?
You will be responsible for assessing physical function and support needs, making evidence-based decisions in line with legislation. You will develop and implement strengths-based, outcome-focused support plans, including equipment provision. Regular reviews and updates of these plans will ensure they meet needs and improve outcomes. You will identify and address risks promptly, escalating when necessary. Building professional, person-centred relationships with service users and collaborating with other teams for cohesive support will be key. You will manage complex caseloads and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications and Experiences:
To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in Occupational Therapy or an equivalent professional qualification (e.g., Dip COT), along with registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You should have experience in assessing needs, advising, and facilitating equipment use, as well as managing a caseload. Additionally, knowledge of assistive technology, specialist equipment, and aids is essential.
