We are continuously innovating, open to new ideas and an improvement-focussed culture – it is a rewarding place for adult social care to flourish and we are committed to our workforce being representative of the residents that we work with. We have developed an inclusive culture because we believe this is at the heart of enabling diversity in all respects, including diversity of thought. We are taking proactive actions to challenge all forms of discrimination and injustice to help make Newham a fairer and more equitable place for our residents, their families and carers to live, learn and thrive.

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to join Newham's Adult and Health Directorate as an Adult Social Care Intelligence Analyst, a key role supporting our ambition to deliver outstanding, data-driven services for residents.

In this exciting new role, you will provide end-to-end stewardship of Adult Social Care and Health information, ensuring that data is accurate, meaningful and used effectively to improve outcomes for residents. Working closely with operational managers, practitioners, quality assurance leads and corporate colleagues, you will turn complex data into actionable insight that supports service improvement, transformation, statutory compliance and CQC assurance.

You will also represent Newham on the ADASS Performance Network and other forums to help shape regional and national policy-making.

You will lead on performance reporting, data quality, statutory returns and analytical deep-dives, helping managers understand demand, performance, outcomes and emerging risks. You will also play a key role in supporting inspection readiness, transformation programmes and strategic decision-making across Adult Social Care and Health.

About You

We are looking for an experienced analyst with excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, who is passionate about using data to improve services and outcomes for residents.

You will have experience of analysing, interpreting and presenting complex information from a variety of sources, including operational, financial, performance and demographic data. You will be confident producing meaningful reports and dashboards, translating technical information into clear insight for managers, senior leaders and partners.

You will have a strong understanding of data governance, information management and GDPR requirements, alongside experience of reporting tools such as Power BI and the production of statutory returns. Knowledge of Adult Social Care, including the Care Act 2014, safeguarding arrangements and the wider policy landscape, will be a significant advantage.

You will be comfortable working with multiple stakeholders, building relationships across services and supporting managers to use performance information to drive improvement. Most importantly, you will be motivated by using evidence and intelligence to help services continually improve the support they provide to Newham residents
