Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The CCWA Adult Education Program Support Technician provides comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Adult Education program, ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the office. This position serves as a primary point of contact for students, staff, and community members by greeting visitors, answering inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include maintaining confidential student and personnel records, processing payroll and leave documentation, preparing correspondence, reports, and statistical data, managing calendars and schedules, coordinating travel arrangements, maintaining office supplies and equipment, and supporting data entry and recordkeeping functions. The Program Support Technician utilizes various computer applications and databases to track information, generate reports, and maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with organizational procedures and confidentiality standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining strong communication and interpersonal relationships with diverse stakeholders. Additional duties may be assigned to support the goals and mission of the Adult Education program.

Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
