The Adult Education Instructor teaches adult basic education subjects (Language, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, History, and other subjects) to students preparing for the GED. Prepares students for their High School Diploma (ALSDE requirements must be met) and prepares students for the ACT WorkKeys assessment. All duties are performed under the direct supervision of the Adult Education Director and the Dean of Instruction. Listed below are the primary responsibilities of this position; however, the Director of Adult Education or his/her designee may assign other professional duties to meet the College’s needs.

A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
A master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

Salary Range: Salary will be determined by placement on the appropriate Alabama Community College System-approved salary schedule. D3 ($43388 - 72,375)
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break.
