The Behavior Specialist is responsible for the behavioral assessment and management of assigned individuals, and programs within the adult programs at Block Institute. The Behavior Specialist specifically is responsible for the development and implementation of individual and/or group Behavior Intervention and Treatment plans, either directly or through the direction of assigned staff members.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain consistent communication with Behavior Specialist regarding business practices.
Within the adult programs, oversee the completion of the required annual evaluations of the Individual’s adaptive behavior skills and as required, triennial testing of intellectual function by assigned due dates.
Participate in the annual Team meetings or reviews and required/requested reviews or case conferences, as needed.
Complete and document monthly psychological services review, including behavior plans, as needed.
Participate in the development of the Individual’s Behavior Intervention Plan and treatment program plans as a member of the Team.
Provide crisis intervention, both in response to the crisis and follow-up services as needed.
