We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON, LPN) to support the Director of Nursing in overseeing the clinical operations of our facility. This leadership role is responsible for assisting with staff supervision, regulatory compliance, quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring residents receive exceptional care in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and supervising nursing services
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of nursing staff
  • Assist with employee coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed
  • Serve as a clinical resource and leader for nursing staff
  • Act as the backup to the Director of Nursing when needed
  • Conduct daily rounds and monitor resident conditions and care delivery
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Promote resident safety, dignity, and quality of life
  • Serve as a liaison between residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement programs
  • Conduct and support ongoing staff education and in-service training
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding resident and employee information
  • Stay current on regulatory changes and communicate updates appropriately

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Current, active LPN license in South Carolina in good standing
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • 3–5 years of nursing leadership or management experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
  • Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, survey readiness, and clinical operations

Skills & Certifications

  • Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Must maintain all required continuing education and licensure requirements
  • Must remain in good standing with the South Carolina Board of Nursing
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
