We are looking for an experienced Adobe Commerce Technical Lead to lead the technical design and implementation of enterprise-scale digital commerce solutions built on Adobe Commerce (Magento Open Source/Commerce Cloud) The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, mentor development teams, ensure engineering best practices, and collaborate with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing commerce solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and technical implementation of Adobe Commerce solutions for enterprise B2B/B2C commerce platforms with extensive exposure to B2B.
Translate functional and technical requirements into scalable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions.
Drive technical design, code reviews, enforce engineering standards and best practices.
Develop and customize Adobe Commerce modules, extensions, and integrations.
Design and implement integrations with ERP, CRM, PIM, OMS, payment gateways, tax, shipping, and third-party applications using REST and GraphQL APIs.
Collaborate with Solution Architects on application architecture, performance optimization, scalability, and security.
Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex production issues and performance bottlenecks.
Implement caching strategies using Redis, Varnish, CDN (Fastly/Cloudflare), and optimize application performance.
Support CI/CD implementation, cloud deployments, and DevOps practices.
Participate in sprint planning, estimation, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
Mentor developers, conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, and provide technical guidance to the team.
Support pre-sales by providing technical estimates, solution inputs, and feasibility assessments.
Required Skills & Experience
8–10 years of software development experience with 4+ years of hands-on Adobe Commerce (Magento Open Source/Commerce Cloud) development.
Strong expertise in PHP, Magento framework, module development, extension customization, dependency injection, plugins, observers, and best practices.
Hands-on experience with Commerce APIs (REST/GraphQL) and third-party integrations.
Strong understanding of commerce domains including Catalog, Checkout, Pricing, Promotions, Payments, Orders, Inventory, and Customer Management.
Experience with headless/composable commerce implementations using PWA Studio, Alokai (Vue Storefront), React, or Next.js.
Knowledge of Redis, Varnish, Fastly/CDN, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and performance tuning.
Experience working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
Familiarity with ServiceNow, monitoring, logging, and incident management tools.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.
Performance Tuning Optimize Adobe Commerce core architecture, database queries, Varnish caching, and Redis to achieve sub-second page load times.
Security Hardening Implement Content Security Policies (CSP), secure payment gateways, and platform patches to ensure 100% compliance with PCI-DSS standards.
Audit Readiness Lead code reviews and vulnerability assessments to successfully pass external security and performance audits.
Code Quality Write clean, compliant PHP and JavaScript following Adobe Commerce development best practices Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Adobe Commerce/Magento certifications.
Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud products (AEM, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target).
Exposure to microservices, API-first, and event-driven architectures.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Consulting or enterprise digital commerce implementation experience.
