The ADO Quality & Governance Analyst – Senior Associate supports program delivery operations by administering and maintaining Azure DevOps while also owning core data quality, traceability, reporting, and self-service enablement responsibilities. The role ensures that ADO projects, boards, work item structures, permissions, and templates are configured consistently, while validating that delivery artifacts are complete, accurately linked, production-ready, and usable for governance, release readiness, quality assurance, and operational reporting.
This merged position combines platform administration with data quality execution and automation. The role will help reduce manual effort by automating quality checks, reporting outputs, training materials, and runbook creation to support more scalable self-service across delivery teams.
ADO Administration & Platform Support
· Administer and configure Azure DevOps projects, boards, repositories, work item structures, dashboards, and standard templates.
· Manage user access, permissions, and security groups in alignment with governance standards.
· Configure and maintain work item types, fields, workflows, states, rules, and templates to support consistent delivery execution.
· Support environment setup, project onboarding, and standard configuration enforcement across delivery teams.
· Respond to ADO usage questions, operational issues, and support requests from PMO, delivery, product, quality, and release stakeholders.
Data Quality, Traceability & Governance
· Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability across delivery artifacts within Azure DevOps.
· Build, maintain, and improve traceability views or matrices that align business requirements through epics, features, stories, test cases, defects, releases, and deployment readiness.
· Enforce artifact linkage standards and identify gaps, misalignments, missing fields, incomplete artifacts, or inconsistent data usage.
· Perform recurring data quality checks to validate completeness, accuracy, consistency, and auditability of delivery data.
· Support release readiness by validating traceability coverage and quality evidence prior to deployment.
· Partner with project/program managers, QA, product, release, and delivery leads to reinforce quality expectations and improve adoption of standards.
Automation, Reporting & Quality Controls
· Automate recurring quality reports, dashboards, exception views, and data health outputs to reduce manual tracking and improve transparency.
· Create and maintain reusable reporting outputs that show artifact completeness, linkage status, data quality exceptions, release readiness indicators, and trends in what is being produced.
· Develop automated or semi-automated quality checks that identify missing work item fields, broken links, incomplete test coverage, open defects, aging items, and other delivery risks.
· Recommend improvements to ADO configuration, reporting structure, and data standards based on recurring quality findings.
· Contribute to continuous improvement of traceability, reporting, quality management, and delivery governance practices.
Training, Runbooks & Self-Service Enablement
· Build training items, job aids, and self-service guidance for delivery teams using ADO.
· Document standard work through runbooks, how-to guides, checklists, and reusable templates that support consistent execution.
· Automate or accelerate creation of recurring runbooks, process instructions, and support materials where possible.
· Support quality certification or quality-readiness activities by documenting evidence, standards, completion criteria, and repeatable validation steps.
· Help teams understand the quality expectations for artifacts produced in ADO and how those outputs support reporting, release readiness, governance, and auditability.
