
Primary Scheduled Hours: 80, day shift
Arranges for the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients and admission of individuals who have hospital-based outpatient testing or procedures. Ensures that the patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures. Interviews incoming patients or representatives and enters information required for admission into computer database. Distributes appropriate information to ancillary departments. Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities. Responsible for welcoming the patient into the care delivery setting and initiating the documentation required for the patient’s clinical care as well as financial clearance. Ensures accurate patient admission/registration. Works closely with both the financial team and the clinical team to ensure the optimum patient experience, accurate registration, and maximum cash flow and reimbursement.

NHHS employs six primary care physicians, four emergency room physicians, one hospitalist, six health care affiliates, three pharmacists, two Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, and five surgeons (general, orthopedic, gynecology, podiatry). We offer complete obstetrical care including epidural anesthesia and Cesarean deliveries in a private, family setting.
Outpatient services are comprised of full-service diagnostic imaging (radiology), laboratory, pathology and licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapy. NHHS also offers short stay and same day surgical services and a fully staffed general medical acute care unit.
