Job Description

As an Admissions Counselor with WSU Tech, you will play a key role in guiding prospective students through the admissions process. You will be responsible for building relationships, providing educational guidance, and ensuring potential students feel welcomed and valued in our community.

  • Salary: $18.50 per hour
  • Location: WSU Tech South
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday 9:00am–6:00pm , Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist prospective students in navigating the admissions procedure, ensuring they understand the steps required for enrollment.
  • Conduct engaging campus tours and group presentations to showcase our programs and facilities.
  • Provide technical assistance regarding student self-service platforms and any related materials.
  • Communicate regularly with prospects through in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, and traditional mail.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and act as a welcoming presence for visitors and prospective students.

Requirements

Educational Requirements:

  • Associate Degree or relevant work experience is required; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in college admissions, student services, or a related sales role is preferred.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and commitment to helping prospective students understand their educational options.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is essential.
  • Ability to learn and use student management software such as Banner within three months of employment.
