Position: Admission Clerk

Working Hours: US Hours (9am-5pm EST)

Full-Time, Remote Work.

Salary: South African Rand (ZAR)

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive admission Clerk to join our healthcare team. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative and leadership experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

You will serve as the key liaison between the Clinical Team, Case Management Team, and Insurance Department, ensuring that all clients have active insurance coverage and the necessary authorisations to receive services without interruption. You will also oversee and support a Care Coordinator, helping to ensure operational efficiency and exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate communication between the Clinical Team, Case Management Team, and Insurance Department.
• Ensure all client insurance information is accurate, current, and verified.
• Monitor client authorisations to ensure services remain active and compliant.
• Track authorisation expiry dates and proactively manage renewals.
• Resolve insurance-related queries and follow up on outstanding approvals.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
• Work closely with clinicians and case managers to minimise service interruptions.
• Supervise and support the Care Coordinator, providing guidance, coaching, and daily oversight.
• Assist in improving workflows and administrative processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations.

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience in healthcare administration, medical administration, Authorizations, or a similar role.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and cloud-based systems
