The individual in this position will be responsible for preparing, moving, and shipping materials and finished goods in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. This role supports daily warehouse and shipping operations by ensuring orders are correctly picked, packed, labeled, and dispatched according to company and customer requirements.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Participate in daily warehouse activities, including shipments to customers, vendors and other MCHP sites, both domestic and international.
Learn the ERP systems that are used in the warehouse to include BaaN, AX2012 and the SA tool.
Using the Ace government system, for filing shipments over $2500 in value.
Prepare shipping documents for all shipments leaving
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain regular attendance.
Willing to work overtime, when required
Requirements/Qualifications:
2-3 years strong shipping and logistics experience
Shipping both international and domestic.
Creating airway bills in FedEx, UPS and DHL systems.
Understanding 3 party carriers eg: KWE, Morrison etc
Understanding of Invoices, HTS/ECCN numbers, EEI filing
Operation of a forklift
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
Customer service oriented
High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
Dangerous goods certification, preferred
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Operate warehouse equipment.
Lift, move, sort and store objects.
Operate a computer terminal and warehouse-related software.
Work independently with little direction.
Observe health and safety regulations.
Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds

The hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $19.00 - $23.00.*
*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
