About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in financial services and wealth management who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, client focus, and teamwork are essential. You'll play an important role in supporting the administration of client transactions and payments, working closely with Investment Managers, front office teams, operational colleagues, and external banking partners to help deliver outstanding service to our clients.

This position is for a fixed term of 12 months.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Client Accounts Administrator, you'll be responsible for ensuring client transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Investment Managers and front office colleagues to deliver excellent client outcomes.
  • Processing client payments and receipts accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Maintaining and updating client information across internal systems.
  • Monitoring and supporting automated processes and operational reporting.
  • Ensuring all activities comply with internal controls, regulatory obligations, and financial crime prevention requirements.
  • Managing and responding to queries received through the team mailbox.
  • Liaising with banks regarding client transactions and account maintenance.
  • Processing and monitoring internal transfers and ISA subscription transfers.
  • Assisting with client payment investigations and resolving queries from colleagues and stakeholders.

You'll also support a wide range of client account activities, including:

  • CHAPS, BACS, and international payments.
  • Regular client payments, such as dividends, standing orders, and trade settlement proceeds.
  • Processing payment receipts received via bank transfer, cheque, and telephone payments.
  • Producing and collecting monthly direct debits.
  • Supporting the calculation and processing of client interest payments.
  • Reviewing and processing third-party payments on behalf of clients.
What We're Looking For

Essential Skills and Experience
  • A keen interest in financial services, wealth management, or investment administration.
  • Understanding of banking and payment methods, including electronic payment processing.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
Desirable Knowledge
  • Knowledge of investment products such as GIAs, ISAs, and SIPPs
  • Previous experience within a financial services, banking, wealth management, or investment administration environment.
