From national institutions to community-driven initiatives like Hāpai Hapori Community Operations, Archives National Library, and Ministerial Services, we bring together innovation, strategy, and action to make a positive difference across Aotearoa.

Our Branch Performance teams are connectors both within their branch and across all branches at Te Tari Taiwhenua. The four Branch Performance teams work together to support strategy, planning, accountability, assurance and official correspondence across the Department. We manage a variety of work in a busy, interesting environment.

The role | Te tūnga

This is an exciting 6-month fixed term/secondment opportunity which would suit an experienced Administrator keen to hit the ground running in an interesting and varied role! You will have opportunity to turn your hand to a range of things – preparing and manging correspondence and documents, data entry, organising meetings, taking minutes, organising travel and room bookings alongside other general administrative duties.

Some of the day-to-day deliverables may include drafting, formatting and amending documents, organising meetings and arranging logistics, providing document management support, data entry, financial processing and organising travel.

What you bring | Nōu te rourou

  • Experience delivering general administration tasks and support working within a busy team to a range of stakeholders
  • Experience of business planning deliverables including the planning, reporting and coordination processes
  • Experience in financial processing including the processing of invoices and raising purchase orders
  • Good organisation and planning skills
  • Ability to deliver in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Sound communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong commitment to team work and collaboration

The appointing range for this role is $60,648 - $69,312 and it is a fixed term/secondment through to January 2027.
