The Opportunity

At Downer Energy & Utilities, we are seeking a detail focused Billing & Claims Administrator to join our Support Services Hub team.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the preparation, validation and administration of project billing and completion claims across a diverse portfolio of projects and operational contracts. You will work closely with Project Managers, Site Coordinators, operational teams and finance stakeholders to ensure billing documentation is accurate, compliant and delivered within required timeframes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an administration professional with billing, invoicing or claims experience who enjoys working in a collaborative and fast paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing invoices and completion claims in line with contractual and project requirements
• Reviewing and validating supporting documentation including timesheets, purchase orders, invoices and project records
• Maintaining accurate billing records within financial systems including JDEGS
• Monitoring billing activities and identifying discrepancies, documentation gaps and claim issues
• Providing billing administration support to project and operational teams
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance billing processes and service delivery

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in billing, invoicing, claims administration or financial administration
• Experience supporting project, operational or service delivery environments
• Knowledge of billing documentation, financial records and invoicing processes
• Experience using financial systems or ERP platforms such as JDEGS or similar systems
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Effective stakeholder communication and relationship building capabilities
• Proficiency across Microsoft Office applications
