Job Description

Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

Some administration roles are all paperwork. This isn't one of them.

We're looking for a Contract Administrator who thrives on variety, enjoys being the go-to person for support and takes pride in helping teams perform at their best. Sitting at the heart of our Utilities team in Tauranga, you'll play a critical role in keeping operations running smoothly while supporting the successful delivery of essential infrastructure services.

No two days will look the same. One day you might be coordinating subcontractor onboarding, organising training and managing compliance requirements. The next, you'll be supporting procurement activities, monitoring contract administration costs, reviewing reports or helping implement new initiatives that improve how the team works.

You'll work closely with operational managers, supervisors, field teams, suppliers and subcontractors, providing professional administration support across commercial, financial, procurement and operational functions. Your ability to stay organised, juggle priorities and build strong working relationships will help ensure the team has everything it needs to deliver for customers and the business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, loves bringing order to complexity and wants to be part of a team delivering critical services to communities across New Zealand.

Mōu koe | About You

You will bring:

  • Experience providing high-quality administration or coordination support
  • Exceptional organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy and fast-moving environment
  • A confident and professional communication style
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative approach
  • Experience supporting operational, commercial or project-based teams
  • Proficiency across Microsoft Office applications
  • The ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Experience with JD Edwards, SharePoint or similar systems will be highly regarded
  • A current driver's licence is desirable but not essential

You're someone who enjoys helping others succeed, spotting efficiencies and keeping things on track behind the scenes. Friendly, organised and approachable, you're the type of person people naturally turn to when they need support.
