Title: Administrative Technician (Payroll) JR- 01069

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Pay: $19.48/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Join a dynamic team supporting payroll operations for the City of Virginia Beach! We're seeking a detail-oriented professional with payroll or administrative experience who can handle confidential information, audit payroll transactions, reconcile records, and provide excellent customer service.

What You'll Do:

• Review and process payroll transactions for accuracy and compliance
• Handle payroll inquiries and sensitive employee information
• Audit timekeeping, leave, deductions, and pay adjustments
• Reconcile payroll records and prepare reports
• Support departmental staff with payroll processes and corrections

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of payroll, accounting, administrative, or related experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Experience working with payroll systems and Microsoft Office
