Classification and Grade    Administrative Support Specialist, grade 26, $22.82 hourly

Job Duties This is advanced and specialized technical work Administrative Support by the demonstration of the complexity and/or variety of assignments and by the relative independence.  The incumbent may supervise, train, direct, and provide guidance to a group of staff members.

Examples of work performed
  • Handle routine administrative duties for the Court Administrator.  Handle personnel and benefit records and answer payroll questions.
  • Handle inquiries from OJA, all court personnel, judges, attorneys, Unified Government offices, jurors, and the public.
  • Proficient in GoCo, JazzHR, Centralized Case Management System (CCMS) and any other technology assigned.
  • Link between all departments, divisions within the court system and the Unified Government, suppliers, and the public.
  • Monitor expenditures of all departments of the court system.
  • Maintain inventory of all furniture and equipment.
  • Maintain and control maintenance contracts and service work on all machines and equipment.     
  • Confidential employee of the Court Administrator.
  • Other duties that may be assigned by the Court Administrator.
Required education and experience Some training and two or more years of experience in the use of technology and administrative support.  Experience may be substituted for the required education and experience which provides the following knowledge, abilities and skills.       

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, grammar and arithmetic.
  • Ability to provide directions and guidance to staff members.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and establish and maintain a harmonious work environment.
