Job Description

Administrative Support – Life & Health (Temporary)

At AMA, our brand is important to us and we set the bar for supporting our members. Providing a first-class member experience is the hallmark of working for AMA. We only hire the best and look for people who share our commitment to providing exceptional service and support.

You’re the person who notices when something is missing or out of place. You like things organized, you pay attention to the details, and you get satisfaction from knowing everything is exactly where it should be. When you’re working with important information, you take the time to make sure it’s complete, accurate and handled properly.

If that sounds like you, we’re looking for temporary Administrative Support team members to join our Life & Health team and help us review, organize and digitize client files. No previous insurance experience is required—we’re looking for people who are dependable, detail-oriented and ready to learn.

Contract Details: This is a temporary, full-time opportunity expected to run until the end of December 2026.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday during regular business hours.

WHAT MOVES YOU

  • You can work with pace and precision without sacrificing accuracy.
  • You can stay focused while working through detailed and repetitive tasks.
  • You know how to organize and prioritize your work to meet deadlines and team objectives.
  • You’re comfortable working independently but are equally at home as part of a team.
  • You understand that confidential information needs to be handled carefully and responsibly.
  • You’re dependable, flexible and comfortable asking questions when something doesn’t look right.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Review Life & Health client files to ensure documents are grouped together and in the correct order.
  • Use a provided checklist to confirm the required documents are included in each file.
  • Complete a summary sheet outlining the documents included in each file and identifying anything that is missing.
  • Set up digital client files on the Life & Health team server.
  • Scan and save documents into the appropriate digital client file.
  • Validate that all hard-copy documents have been accurately captured in the client file.
  • Flag missing documentation for follow-up by the appropriate Life & Health Advisor.
  • Securely shred hard-copy documents once the file has been reviewed and digitized.
  • Provide additional administrative support to the Life & Health team as required.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE

  • You have a high school diploma.
  • You have previous work experience in an office environment.
  • You’re comfortable using computers, navigating electronic files and folders, and working with Microsoft Office.
  • You have strong organizational skills and an eye for detail.
  • You can follow established processes and checklists while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
  • You can organize and prioritize your work to meet deadlines.
  • You’re comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • You understand the importance of discretion and confidentiality when handling client information.
