By joining our Project Delivery and Preservation I Branch as an Administrative Specialist Senior in District 6
office in Kenton County, you'll have the opportunity to provide professional support for the Transportation
Engineering Branch Manager with PD&PI Branch developing, implementing, and maintaining various complex
programs of Construction and Maintenance unit activities.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Provides professional administrative support to Project Delivery and Preservation (PD&PI) Branch Manager.
  • Provides administrative oversight to two Sections and three Maintenance Units within PD&PI Branch by compiling
    and entering time, material, and equipment usage in Kentucky Human Resource Information System (KHRIS) and
    Operations Management System (OMS).
  • Generates reports, organizes timesheets, leave forms.
  • Interprets and applies policies and regulations related to PD&PI Branch correspondence with internal and
    external customers.
  • Reviews work for Section office and Maintenance Unit Supervisors on complex documents.
  • Utilizes Master Agreements to create delivery orders and rental agreements in support of Section office
    and Maintenance Unit activities.
  • Communicates with Section office Supervisors and Maintenance Unit Supervisors,
    including correspondence such as evaluations, travel reimbursements, training requests.
  • Maintains confidential records, analyzes data, develops reports and provides recommendations to PD&PI
    Branch regarding budget and project status.
  • Utilizes SiteManager and Project Wise to review and organize
    records.

Ideal candidate will have experience in:

  • Professional, administrative or business experience.
  • Experience working on strict deadlines.
  • Experience in Administrative duties, working in Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Organization, Computer, and Customer Service Skills.
  • Teamwork

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:
Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:
Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
