Description

Our clients are individuals who are unable able to afford an attorney and who the government has charged with criminal offenses
in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Compassion for our clients and commitment to our mission are critical

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provides support to the leaders of the Trial Division Director’s Office.
  • Assists with long-term projects that require multi-tasking and prioritizing to meet deadlines.
  • Assists with processes for recruiting, hiring, and promoting employees within the Trial Division state-wide.
  • Answers phones, takes messages, and receives and logs mail.
  • Performs filing, scanning, and archive maintenance.
  • Acts as a liaison between the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy (DPA) human resources, personnel, and with employees within the Trial Division state-wide.
  • Receives and responds to inquiries and complaints regarding trial services employees statewide.
  • Visits trial offices throughout the state to provide specialized service to the office and inspect office
    processes and procedures to ensure compliance with agency wide policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:
Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:
Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

NONE

Working Conditions

Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
