and deter crime and the fear of crime; enhance highway safety through education and enforcement; protect and
safeguard individual rights; and provide leadership, training, technical, and operational support to the

Kentucky State Police Posts are the nerve center of the Agency’s operations. It is here that our sworn

  • Updates case report database.
  • Communicates with the public by phone and in person.
  • Provides clerical support for detectives and supervisory staff including drafting memos and correspondence.
  • Interprets and applies Kentucky State Police Administrative and Operations policies for the office
    operations of the assigned post.
  • Ensures all general and other files are prepared and maintained in accordance with policy.
  • Submits and files
administrative documents (i.e., correspondence, local purchase orders, travel requests) in accordance with
    state and agency policies.
  • Maintains automotive and inspection files and film log. Processes all incoming and outgoing mail.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Customer service

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience handling confidential information
