
The Environmental Compliance Division (ECD) is seeking a versatile and driven candidate to join our team as an Administrative Services Technician IV at our Montpelier, Vermont office.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team that works to protect human health and the environment through proactive assistance and investigative enforcement of Vermont's environmental laws, regulations, rules, and permits.
Core responsibilities of this position include:
The ideal candidate is self-motivated and patient, has excellent written and oral communication skills, manages time effectively and multitasks routinely, has strong organization skills, meets deadlines, and is able to work independently and as a team member with other Division and Agency staff.
This position is a part-time, temporary position with an expected average of 20 hours of work per week. Candidates will have a regular three to five day a week work schedule (with a preference for four or five days) during core state business hours of 7:45 am to 4:30 pm. Candidates will also be expected to be in the office in Montpelier multiple days per week.
This position, Administrative Services Tech IV - Environmental Compliance Division - Temporary (Job Requisition #55873), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours, and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.

High school graduation or equivalent and one (1) year of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.
OR
One (1) year of College level study in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field.
OR
One (1) year as an Administrative Services Technician III with the State of Vermont.
For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required.
